Prenantal Visits
At prenatal visits, we’ll review more in detail your birth preferences and options, what to expect from physiological labor and birth, the role of your doula and the role of your birth partner, body balancing (Spinning Babies techniques), comfort measures/techniques to use during labor for pain relief (Aromatherapy, Rebozo, Miles Circuit, Spinning Babies, Acupressure, counterpressure, massage, ect.), creating a birth "plan" and working through any fears before birth.

Labor Support
During labor, I’ll offer continuous and unwavering support that involves creating a safe and calm environment, guiding you through the stages of labor, giving suggestions on relaxation techniques and pain relief strategies, and suggesting different position changes as labor progresses. I can join you at home at the beginning of your active labor before transitioning to your main birth setting. I do have essential oils for you to use during labor, as well as LED twinkle lights, LED tea candle lights, and a TENS unit to use during labor if desired. Immediate postpartum support at the hospital includes getting settled and comfortable with your newborn, and helping initiate breastfeeding if desired.
At the postpartum visit, we will reflect your birth experience and answer any postpartum questions or concerns. I can also share a few techniques to help relax your baby's nervous system, assist with baby wearing and to help troubleshoot any breastfeeding challenges.
